obtained convincing evidence that inflammation in asthma captures the distal parts of the lower respiratory tract.
several studies have proved that the peripheral respiratory ways, including the lung tissue itself, are the principal
place of airflow obstruction in patients with asthma. there are currently actively being developed devices for
improving the delivery of anti-inflammatory drugs on the periphery of the lung, to improve asthma control.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Традиционно бронхиальная астма (ба) рассматривалась как заболевание преимущественно крупных и
средних бронхов, и мало уделялось внимания мелким дыхательным путям. однако за последнее время
получены убедительные данные, свидетельствующие, что воспалительный процесс при ба захватывает
и дистальные отделы нижних дыхательных путей. в ряде исследований признается, что периферические
дыхательные пути, включая и саму легочную ткань, являются основным местом обструкции воздушного
потока у больных Ба. в настоящее время активно разрабатываются ингаляционные устройства для улучшения доставки противовоспалительных препаратов на периферию легкого. с этим связана возможность
