Mometasone furoate (MF) has high antiinflammatory activity and low systemic bioavalability. MF has an excellent safety and efficacy profile in approved doses 200—800 mcg/daily od (in the evening) or bid (in the morning and in the evening). For patients with persistent asthma required treatment with an inhaled corticosteroid, MF is an excellent therapeutic choice.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Ингаляционные глюкокортикоиды занимают центральное место в лечении бронхиальной астмы (БА). Настоящий обзор посвящен новой лекарственной форме мометазона фуроата (МФ) для лечения астмы — Асманексу Твистхейлеру. Асманекс Твистхейлер является порошковым ингалятором, содержащим МФ и лактозу и предназначенным для лечения взрослых и детей (12 лет и старше в России). Из-за выраженного противовоспалительного потенциала МФ и его эффективной доставки в легкие препарат способен обеспечивать хороший контроль БА в относительно невысоких дозах (200—800 мкг/сут), применяемых 1 (вечером) или 2 раза (утром и вечером) в день. Риск системных побочных эффектов минимален из-за низкой биодоступности МФ. Это подтверждается результатами клинических исследований, в которых проводилось физикальное, лабораторное исследование, оценка функции гипоталамо-гипофизарно-надпочечниковой системы и скорости роста у детей. Частота местных побочных эффектов (осиплости голоса, сухости в горле, кандидоза) при ингаляционном применении МФ была низкой и сопоставимой с таковой у других ингаляционных глюкокортикоидов.
