Information on the percentage of people having allergic reactions to stings total population in different countries is provided. The relation between the frequency of allergic reactions to certain professions is shown. Regional differences in mortality from allergies to the venom of bees and wasps are discussed. Mortality figures from allergies to venom of stinging insects in different countries are given. Global mortality from stinging insect allergy is estimated.</p>
