First of all, it concerns participation of eosinophils in regulation of Th2type of the immune response, in formation of allergic inflammation and tissue damage. Their role in outcome of these processes - reparation or chronization of illness, including mechanisms of tissue remodeling is also very important.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В обзоре обобщены результаты современных научных исследований, позволяющих по-новому взглянуть на роль эозинофилов при аллергии в качестве полифункциональных клеток. Прежде всего это касается участия эозинофилов в регуляции Тh2-типа иммунного ответа, в формировании аллергического воспаления и тканевом повреждении.
