Allergen-specific immunotherapy is a form of etiological treatment for patients with immunoglobulin E mediated allergic diseases. Allergen-specific immunotherapy is based on the administration of causative allergens in order to induce immunological tolerance to it. The main advantages of allergen-specific immunotherapy over all other available treatments for allergy are that it induces long-lasting protection and prevents the progression of the disease to more severe manifestations.

This article reviews the results of studies on a promising allergy vaccine developed for allergen-specific immunotherapy in birch pollen allergy.

Аллергенспецифическая иммунотерапия — форма лечения пациентов, страдающих аллергическими заболеваниями, ассоциированными с иммуноглобулином E. Аллергенспецифическая иммунотерапия основана на введении причинно-значимого аллергена в целях индукции иммунологической толерантности к нему. Основные преимущества аллергенспецифической иммунотерапии перед другими методами лечения аллергии заключаются в том, что она индуцирует длительную защиту и предотвращает прогрессирование заболевания до тяжелых проявлений.

В статье рассмотрены результаты исследований перспективной аллерговакцины, разработанной для аллергенспецифической иммунотерапии при аллергии на пыльцу березы.
