MD, PhD, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate professor Clinical Immunology and Allergology Department. Dr. A. Ishchanka is an associate professor of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology at Vitebsk State Medical University, Belarus, and also currently serves as Secretary General of the Belarus Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (BAACI), member of World Allergy Organization (WAO), member of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI). Aksana Ishchanka graduated from Vitebsk State Medical Institute, Belarus. She began her career with the hospital staff of Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital as a doctor on duty. Then she worked as a allergist-immunologist at the allergological department of Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital. Since 2002 she had been working at Vitebsk State Medical University, first as an assistant at the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology, since 2004 she had been a senior lecturer, and since 2009 holds the position of associate professor. In 2005 she defended her PhD thesis in the specialty 14.00.36 - “Allergology and Immunology”. In 2010 she was awarded with the Associate Professor scientific title. Dr. Ishchanka is Board Certified in Internal Medicine (Belarus), Highest Category in Allergology. Dr. A. Ishchanka has published over 100 original publications in journals, as well as contributed to writing of medical textbook chapters. Dr. A. Ishchanka's research interests include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, immunodeficiencies, immunotherapy, also she is a specialist in program development and performance of clinical trials of drugs. Dr. A. Ishchanka is co-author of 10 training programs, 4 teaching method complexes and manuals for doctors; in addition to that she holds 4 patents. She has repeatedly made presentations at international congresses, symposia and conferences in the Republic of Belarus, Russian Federation, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland. In 2013, 2015, 2018 she won international competitions eligible for participation in the Winter Schools of Immunology of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). In 2019 she was a member of the organizing committee of the Republican Conference with international involvement “New methods for the diagnosis and treatment of allergies and immunodeficiencies”.
